Abstract

Il sitema casa-bottega è un particolare modo di abitare in cui l'ambito privato e residenziale convive con l'ambito professionale. Il contesto della ricerca è l'area archeologica di Pompei, la celebre città romana scomparsa con l'eruzione del Vesuvio nel 79 d.C.

The workshop-home system is a special system of home environments in which private life co-exist with the workplace, craft and / or commercial. This type of house is well demonstrated in the city of Pompeii, though still little studied. This research aims to help clarify some aspects of this particular housing system. The study was carried out on the field, in the archaeological site of Pompeii, through a survey which affected the whole urban area.
